IMPORTANT: For the best detection results, you will need to adjust the camera when you install the Niō at a site. Please make sure the Niō is installed, turned on, and paired with the company on the iDter app. You will need to be on-site AND have the iDter app open in order to make adjustments.
STEP 1
Open the Camera Live Feed
In the iDter app, in the Niō and Settings tab, open the company folder and tap the name of the Niō you’d like to view. You will see the view from the camera, refreshed every five seconds. Scroll down and tap the button that says Watch Niō Live to view the live feed.
STEP 2
Loosen the Camera Screws
There are four screws around the camera case, shown below, that help keep the visor in place. Make sure these screws are loose before moving the camera ball. This will help protect the weatherproof seal and make it easier to move.

STEP 3
Adjust the Camera Ball
While you’re viewing the live feed, manually position the camera ball so it covers the area you need. If possible, leave the horizon out of view to help the detection algorithm. While the ball can be adjusted all the way to the edges, the detection performance may be affected by extreme positions. We recommend it being as close to the center as possible. Make sure to re-tighten the screws when you’re finished making adjustments.
