Step 1
Install an SD Card
To request HD video from a Niō unit, you need to have an SD card installed. This feature becomes available as soon as you install the SD card. To install an SD card:
- Make sure the SD card lock/unlock switch is in the position closest to the contacts (if card is held with contacts down – the switch should be in the down direction) - "unlocked".
- Power off the Niō before inserting the card. Once power is off, insert the card and power up the unit.
Video footage of events captured after the SD card has been successfully installed will now become available for download.

Step 2
Requesting Footage from the SD Card
You can request SD card footage in two ways:
Option 1: While watching a recap video, tap “Request Video from SD Card." Adjust the date and time as needed. Pick the duration - 5 or 15 mins. Select ‘Request the Video’.
Option 2: In the 'Events & Recordings', tap “Request Video from SD Card" in the upper right. Select the camera you want the footage from. Adjust the date and time as needed. Pick the duration - 5 or 15 mins. Select ‘Request the Video’.
Step 3
Locate the HD Video in Your Recordings List
To access the video, go back to the list of recordings, and pull down to refresh the list.
The SD card footage will appear in chronological order in the list of all recordings. You can either scroll through the recordings to get to the correct date and time or in the filters, choose “jump to” and pick the desired date. If the icon is red, this video is still being generated. A grey icon means the video is ready. It can take a few minutes to generate the recording.
